Happy Birthday BSA!

A single act of kindness can make a difference... In 1909, publisher W.D. Boyce was in London and lost in the fog when a young Scout helped him find his way. The boy refused any money, saying he was simply doing a good turn. This act of kindness led to Boyce founding the Boy Scouts of America 100 years ago today. In these 100 years, more than 110 million Americans have been members of the organization.  So congratulations to the Boy Scouts of America for 100 fantastic years, and best wishes for the next 100!

Yesterday, Pack 9 joined with Troop 9 to celebrate the birthday of Scouting while also showing respect for our charter organization (Greendale People's Church) at Scout Sunday.  Many thanks to the boys and their families who were able to attend!

Today, some of the boys of Pack 9 helped mark the occasion by wearing their uniforms to school today.  The den 3 Tiger Cubs at Worcester Arts Magnet School even got recognized on the morning announcements.

We'll wrap up our month of celebration at our Blue and Gold Banquet on February 26.  It is an exciting time to be involved in Cub Scouts!
